Ocracoke Community Multicultural Celebration
Ocracoke, NC — The Ocracoke Community Multicultural Celebration, a new event celebrating the rich cultural diversity of Ocracoke Island, will take place on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 1-3 PM at Ocracoke School. The festival is open to the public and aims to bring together students, families, residents, and visitors to honor and celebrate cultural heritage through music, dance, food, and interactive activities.
This year’s theme focuses on the shared histories and traditions of the many cultures that have influenced Ocracoke, highlighting both the diversity within the community and the universal experiences that bind us together.
The event is free to the public. The event is produced through a partnership between Ocracoke School and the non-profit Ocracoke Alive. Additional support provided by the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
